Position Overview: Integrated Clinic Receptionist
The Integrated Clinic Receptionist plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service to patients, staff, and other individuals seeking assistance. This position involves managing inquiries in person, over the phone, and through the patient portal, while coordinating and scheduling appointments across various services offered by Axis Health System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional front-line customer service to all clinic visitors.
- Respond to patient requests and inquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all services provided by Axis Health System to effectively direct patients to the appropriate resources.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for multiple services within the organization.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Employees must be capable of walking, sitting, standing, or kneeling for extended periods, and may need to travel between various locations.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in managing a multi-line phone system.
- Familiarity with medical insurance regulations and patient health information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Additional Requirements:
Must comply with all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality regarding patient information. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the service area are also necessary.
