Neurosurgery Physician Opportunity

Ascension Seton is seeking a qualified Neurosurgery Physician to join our esteemed Seton Brain and Spine Institute. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a dynamic medical practice focused on neurosurgery.
Key Details- Specialty: Neurosurgery
- Work Schedule: 1-2 clinic days per week and 2-4 surgical days
- On-Call Requirements: 6 days of trauma call monthly
- Support Structure: Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team available for both clinic and hospital settings
- Electronic Medical Records: Utilization of Athena/Compass
- Healthcare Facilities: Affiliated with Dell Seton Medical Center and Ascension Seton Medical Center
- Location: Austin, TX
This position is not situated in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) or Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA/P).

ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Conduct evaluations and provide treatment to patients utilizing advanced medical diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
- Collaborate with case management for effective discharge planning.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and quality of patient care.
- Accept referrals from fellow physicians and serve as the admitting, attending, or consulting physician as necessary.
- Engage in academic programs including medical education and research as required.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards set by insurance providers and manage appeals for any denials.
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty care, which may include on-call duties.

QualificationsLicensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Physician MD/DO credential from the Texas Medical Board.
