Server Assistant/Busser Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Server Assistant/Busser to join our team at Centrada. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tables are cleaned promptly and accurately maintaining tables during the shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the dining room and tables to provide a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Assist servers as needed to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Help bring courses from the kitchen to the tables, ensuring that food is delivered to the right guests at the right time.
  • Maintain a well-stocked workspace and ensure the cleanliness of the dining area throughout the shift.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude, even in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items and daily specials to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Participate in pre-shift lineups to ensure that you are prepared for the day's service.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant.
  • Complete all assigned side work as directed by management.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform.
  • Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
  • A passion for food, wine, and service is essential.
  • A strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A desire to provide exceptional customer service and exceed guest expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Knowledge of tableside etiquette and ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • A desire for growth and development in the service industry.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and ability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently.
  • High standards for cleanliness of workspace and service areas.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and climb stairs regularly.
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas and perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and reaching.
