Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing routine responsibilities and serving as a primary point of contact for clients. The successful candidate will work under direct supervision, supporting and informing coverage strategy and plan, and applying principles of insurance to everyday situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily service on assigned tasks by producers and/or account executives, following agency written procedures, including issuing proofs of insurance, responding to client inquiries, requesting changes, and reviewing new/renewal policies.
  • Keep current with industry trends, participating in educational seminars and classes to improve insurance/sales skills and license compliance.
  • Complete other functions and assignments as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Active Property & Casualty Producer License or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire date.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to discern priority and initiative.
  • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions, and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • EPIC experience a plus.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required, Associate Degree or higher preferred.
  • CPCU or special training course completion a plus.
