The Senior Solutions Architect, VP (Architecture Lead Analyst) is a strategic expert who stays informed about advancements in their field and contributes to the strategic direction of the business. This role recognizes technical authority within the organization and requires a foundational understanding of commercial dynamics. The position typically involves collaboration with multiple subject matter experts across the business. Strong communication and diplomatic skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and persuading colleagues and external clients alike. The role has a significant impact on the organization through complex deliverables and provides counsel related to technology and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex architecture initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise blueprints.
• Develop technology roadmaps while staying abreast of emerging technologies, recommending business directions based on these advancements.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee the development of system designs and components.
• Translate intricate business challenges into effective technical solutions.
• Utilize hardware engineering and software design principles in researching, designing, and developing product interfaces.
• Offer integrated systems planning and propose innovative technologies to enhance existing systems.
• Advise on suitable desktop, computer platforms, and communication links to support IT objectives and strategies.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of how one's specialization contributes to the business and knowledge of competitor offerings.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members.
• Employ sophisticated analytical thinking to resolve issues in various complex scenarios.
• Influence architectural decisions through advisory roles and facilitation.
• Guide and persuade others using developed communication and diplomatic skills.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, including 3+ years as a Solutions Architect.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
• Strong management and prioritization skills.
• Capability to build effective working relationships.
• Adept at managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a quick learning ability.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing robust customer-facing and internal applications that align with Citi's business objectives and enhance its reputation. You will consider approved products, design patterns, application requirements, security considerations, and costs while engaging in projects to build new applications or refactor existing ones, collaborating with a team of experienced developers and project managers to facilitate technology adoption and accelerate delivery.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in API design/development and related technologies (XSLT, SOAP, REST, JSON, Swagger, YAML), Domain-Driven Design, and microservices development (SpringBoot, Eureka, Zuul, Resilience4j).
• Familiarity with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in browser and mobile application development across various technologies (iOS, Android, Swift, Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, Bootstrap, Angular, React).
• Knowledge of integration middleware technologies (TIBCO, MQ, zOS Connect, Solace, Kafka) and message protocols/formats (JMS, SOAP, JSON, XML).
• Understanding of security concepts related to authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with architecture governance, including IT strategies, technology roadmaps, and API governance.
• Knowledge of business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning technologies.
• Formal training in application architecture methodologies and standards.
• Experience in architecture roles within the banking industry.
