We are seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as the Division Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for the division, aligning with the goals of the department and the institution.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the division's clinical operations, including patient care, education, and research.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement cancer programs, research initiatives, and community engagement activities.
- Manage the oversight of cancer research activities, including grant writing, research coordination, and data analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies for program development, growth, and financial management.
- Partner with the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center to advance its mission and goals.
- Recruit and retain top talent, including faculty, staff, and students, to support the division's mission and goals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board certification in Medical Oncology/Hematology.
- Licensed to practice in Louisiana.
- 10 years of experience in practice as a medical oncologist or hematologist.
- Experience in building cancer programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing clinical and research missions.
- Previous administrative experience is required.
- Research experience with national funding.
