Indiana University Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse-Clinical Specialty Coordinator to support the Trauma unit at Methodist Hospital. This role coordinates a service line of care for high acuity patients of all ages within the department. Responsibilities include extensive assessment and clinical judgment of physiological health care, monitoring the status and providing an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the health care team. The Clinical Specialty Coordinator serves as the clinical expert to assigned staff and is a strong unit leader and performs unit and system leadership activities as necessary to support the specific service line.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates a service line of care for high acuity patients of all ages within the department.
- Provides extensive assessment and clinical judgment of physiological health care.
- Monitors the status and provides an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the health care team.
- Serves as the clinical expert to assigned staff.
- Performs unit and system leadership activities as necessary to support the specific service line.
Requirements
- Requires an Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN).
- BSN preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
