Position Overview

EMH&T is in search of a skilled and driven Civil Engineer to take on the role of Project Manager within our innovative Urban Design division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing and managing civil engineering initiatives from their initial stages to final execution, ensuring that all elements are completed punctually, within financial constraints, and adhere to applicable regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians throughout the design and implementation phases.
  • Oversee the planning, interpretation, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, which may include public/private partnerships, educational infrastructure, urban development, specialized housing, and more.
  • Define project scope, develop design concepts, estimate costs, and coordinate the activities of staff assigned to projects.
  • Monitor and communicate changes to project plans, review invoices, and conduct quality assurance/quality control assessments.
  • Act as a liaison for clients, collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to align project schedules, deliverables, solutions to problems, budgets, and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in a civil land development organization, with at least two years in a lead designer capacity.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Land Desktop or similar design software, with the ability to conduct quality reviews of both preliminary and final deliverables.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or the ability to obtain registration shortly after employment; additional state registrations are advantageous.
