Job Summary

The Division Vice President - Operations will oversee all business aspects of a hauling facility, including revenue growth and cost management. This individual will ensure the highest standards of environmental safety and operational excellence by effectively managing the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the assigned hauling facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Performance: Oversee the performance of operations and maintenance managers, ensuring they meet performance standards and productivity metrics.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the hauling facility, ensuring compliance with Federal and State Regulations, OSHA, and local requirements.
  • Workforce Development: Ensure the training and development of the skills of the workforce by providing proper guidance and coaching.
  • Staffing and Workflow: Determine workflow, staffing levels, and monitor equipment operations and maintenance, while fostering a work environment based on teamwork and cooperation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide monthly projection data and analysis, reviewing year-to-date and prior year budget data comparisons.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure facilities meet all Federal and State Regulations, OSHA, and local requirements, establishing necessary procedures to ensure overall safety of employees, customers, and visitors.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of facility, equipment, and property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Business preferred)
  • Experience: 7 to 10 years of management experience, with experience managing a transportation operation or warehousing operation.
  • Skills: Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations, demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to coach and develop subordinates.
