About the Role

The Maintenance Operations Manager leads, directs, and coordinates the activities of maintenance teams engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of industrial equipment and machinery. This role is responsible for providing leadership, ensuring safe work practices, and developing/approving procedures to maximize equipment and industrial maintenance processes and personnel efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and supervise maintenance systems, processes, and documentation associated with efficient and high-performing industrial operations.
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians in predictive and preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Ensure maintenance is scheduled promptly and work closely with production teams to schedule and accomplish equipment and facility repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
  • Provide regular status reports to operations management teams.
  • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, specialized test equipment, consumables, and support requirements to maintain an accurate asset listing for the facility.
  • Review vendor invoices to ensure compliance with quoted repair costs and equipment pricing.
  • Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
  • Develop and/or maintain key performance indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of the maintenance function.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Must be 21 years or older due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • 3-4 years management experience.
  • Minimum (2) years of commercial driving experience.
  • CDL Class A with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements is preferred but not required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Hands-on industrial experience with the operation of heavy equipment, forklifts, and material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Must be safety conscious, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Be willing to work any shift and frequent overtime.
  • Must be computer literate and have good math skills.
Certifications:
  • 40 HR HAZWOP- Preferred
  • Pass Respirator Fit Test during Pre-Employment Checks
