Position Summary
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will report directly to the Vice President of Internal Audit, with daily oversight from the Internal Audit Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and execute audit procedures across the organization, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will also assess internal controls to safeguard assets and information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits throughout the organization, examining accounts, identifying inefficiencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to document business processes, identify critical controls, and develop testing plans to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Perform detailed data analyses and root cause assessments of audit findings.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate audit results to management, including actionable recommendations.
  • Support the development of audit documentation that meets professional standards.
  • Provide guidance to junior auditors and assist with training and development initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional education to maintain relevant certifications.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of professional audit experience or equivalent experience in the financial sector.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE are preferred, or a willingness to pursue relevant certifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word and Excel, with experience in data analysis tools being advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
