Job Title: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Family-Centered Care by recognizing the patient, family, and/or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's preferences, values, and needs.
  • Assume an active role within the lab, functioning effectively within the lab and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
  • Integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise for delivery of optimal health care, using data to monitor the outcomes of care processes and use improvement methods to test changes to continuously improve the quality and safety of health care systems.
  • Minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance, using information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Associate or Baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing).
  • 3 years of cardiac catheterization lab experience. Preferred pediatric cath lab experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association; Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 Months of Hire; Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) upon hire or within 6 Months of Hire.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) with post primary certification of Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CV).
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to blood/body fluid, cold/heat, infectious diseases, laser beam, lung irritations, and radiation. The employee must be able to tolerate temperature changes, smoke, fumes, and dust.

The physical demands of this position include standing/walking for 6-8 hours per day, bending, carrying, lifting, and pulling up to 1/3 of the time. The employee must be able to exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.
