Radiology Technologist Full Time Days

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging procedures. You will work under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, applying principles of radiation protection and complying with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures.
- Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients prior to each exam.
- Contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
- Accurately and efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
- Assist in the training of students and new hires.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas, including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic, and operating procedures.
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
- Training gained at the student level.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (180 days required).
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (upon hire required).
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (upon hire required) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross (upon hire required).
