Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Spectrum Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality diagnostic exams, verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in medical records.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, following policy for malfunctions or quality control failures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, administrative staff, medical staff, and peers.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients prior to exams.
  • Contribute to department operations, assisting fellow employees and maintaining quality assurance and control.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited Radiography program.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (180 days required).
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Upon Hire required).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (Upon Hire required) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross (Upon Hire required).
