Position Overview

The Manager of Electrical Engineering Operations is responsible for overseeing the production processes and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Management: Foster a secure and healthy work environment by ensuring all personnel are trained in safe operational practices.
  • Production Planning: Strategically plan production workflows, establish priorities, and define processes to align with project and departmental needs.
  • Budget Management: Achieve project labor hour budgets and manage departmental budgets effectively.
  • Workforce Optimization: Develop and adjust manpower plans to meet production requirements.
  • Training and Standards: Ensure the creation and documentation of best practice work standards, providing necessary training for all team members.
  • Lean Initiatives: Drive lean manufacturing principles and 5S initiatives to minimize waste and enhance production efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement measures to maintain product quality throughout the production process.
  • Performance Management: Address individual employee performance issues, including conducting performance reviews and managing promotions and disciplinary actions.
  • Team Communication: Maintain open communication with the team to keep them informed about work status, departmental performance, and policy changes.
  • KPI Development: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess departmental performance and identify potential issues.
  • Project Coordination: Manage the Sub Assembly schedule to meet the demands of various projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other department managers to ensure comprehensive support for production needs.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing industrial OEM electrical assembly.
  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical assembly operations within a project-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a workforce effectively.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes for electrical panels and wire harnesses.
  • Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and PLC programming.
  • Understanding of various communication networks such as Ethernet and CAN Bus.
