About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and provide engineering, design, and drafting services for various projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to establish priorities, provide innovative solutions, and support the long-term vision of the department and company.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering and Design: Provide detailed engineering, design, and planning assessments and recommendations for various projects.
- System Operations: Evaluate system operations and provide project scope development for overhead and underground utility systems.
- Electrical Power Systems: Evaluate electrical power systems and design overhead/underground replacements per utility standards.
- Estimating and Drawing: Develop/modify accurate estimates and engineering drawings using BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and/or GIS software.
- Project Coordination: Meet with managers, engineers, and colleagues to review project status and determine communication strategies.
- Site Planning: Visit sites to determine the condition of existing utilities and collect necessary information for each project.
- ROW Acquisition: Coordinate ROW acquisition, planning, and design functions through regular project updates for schedule adherence and work forecast.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned.
- Communication Skills: Ability to write business correspondence and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and local permitting agencies.
- Operational Planning: Strong operational planning skills to ensure project success.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Computer Skills: General computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
