About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician II to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and suppression systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain fire alarm and suppression systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues related to fire alarm and suppression systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand system designs and requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices in fire safety and electrical systems.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm and suppression systems.
  • Valid Fire Alarm License (FAL) and ability to obtain NICET certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of test equipment, multi-meters, and commissioning devices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Access Control/Security experience.
