Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at IBM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of software applications. Your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create.

Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM'ers and our clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop test strategies and understand requirements.
  • Create test cases and automate tests.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

This role requires expertise in test automation, bug management, and testing across frontend and backend layers. It involves working closely with QA Leads, Developers, and Product Owners to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate UI functionality, test APIs, databases, performance, and security.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate cross-browser and cross-device tests.
  • Conduct exploratory tests and maintain regression suites.
  • Monitor the automation pipeline, analyze issues, assist developers, and manage the bug lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and product teams to align on quality goals.
  • Maintain test case documentation and automation processes.
  • Collaborate in Agile environments, reviewing requirements and executing tasks.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, automation, or a related field.
  • Experience with TFS, ALM, Jira, or any relevant reporting tools.
  • Good OOP knowledge and Java language.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Fluent in English (Written and Spoken).
