Job Summary

The Account Representative position at Buckman is a critical role that focuses on growing sales and maintaining current applications at our Lewiston, ID location. This position is essential to supporting the customer base of the assigned region or strategic business unit while providing value to the customer and increasing profits in the territory.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers to increase sales and retention
  • Champion Buckman's safety culture and policies
  • Generate Continuous Improvement Initiatives for Buckman and customers
  • Use subject matter expertise to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Establish relationships at all levels based on faith and trust
  • Make results-driven decisions while maintaining Buckman values
  • Use sales tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
  • Submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Continuing education and self-training through training opportunities
  • Maintain consignment inventory and manage Buckman assets
  • Perform mechanical tasks to maintain and repair Buckman assets or equipment failures
  • Effective planning and preparation
  • Obtain and use knowledge of customers' systems
  • Support team initiatives and support team members' needs
  • Distribute Activity (Service) Reports regularly

Main Success Metrics

MPC generation at customer account

MPC metrics in KPM tracked quarterly

Successful trial/business conversions

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • Pulp & Paper, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology degree preferred
  • 5 years experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific training in pulp and paper science desired
  • Knowledge in water treatment application is an asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of business/finance and terminology desirable
