MRI Technologist Position

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in the Outpatient NYU Imaging - Woodbury - Part Time department.
The successful candidate will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and perform procedures according to established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately utilize the PACS (Picture Archival System) to make images available to the radiologist for interpretation with minimal exceptions.
- Enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum, working with them to perform exams and evaluate individual images.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Program or related health field.
- Years of experience as an MRI technologist or training.
