Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a skilled Clinical Informaticist, RN to optimize the utilization of clinical information systems workflow for clinical processes. This role requires a deep understanding of ambulatory and/or hospital clinical processes or patient access and revenue cycle management.

The successful candidate will collaborate with nursing, clinical disciplines, and Information Services to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical technologies on patient care and identify optimization opportunities. As a liaison between clinicians and IT teams, they will facilitate a common understanding of information system needs, end-user processes, interoperability, and organizational goals.

Epic Optimization Focus

The Clinical Informaticist, RN will have a specific focus on Epic Optimization, working with senior clinical and medical group leaders to prioritize and plan Epic Optimization work. They will also work effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinic staff during Epic Optimization planning, implementation, and follow-up.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or higher strongly preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Demonstrated interest in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) through coursework, experience, or serving as a HIT super user or educator

Travel Requirements

The ability and means to regularly travel throughout the UVM Health Network is required.
