Position Summary: The Echocardiography Specialist, under the supervision of the lead clinical provider and the Cardiology Practice Manager, is tasked with executing echocardiograms effectively.
Location: Middlebury, VT
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that echocardiography services adhere to the standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Oversee the daily technical functions of the laboratory.
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Director, medical personnel, and technical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Perform echocardiograms as directed by physicians, particularly focusing on trauma and critically ill patients.
- Utilize appropriate ultrasound techniques to ensure high-quality imaging results.
- Position and guide patients throughout the procedures.
- Comply with the Medical Center's Compliance Program.
- Backup and transfer studies to disc for necessary review.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Cardiology Department.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
- Keep precise records, documentation, and statistics.
- Engage in in-service and external professional development programs.
- Participate in cardiology department meetings.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- RDCS certification from ARDMS, CCI, or CRCS by CARDUP is required within one year of employment.
- A minimum of 3 years of echocardiography experience or equivalent education and training is preferred.
Compensation: Salary ranges from $71,000 to $107,000, with a sign-on bonus of $5,000 - $7,500 based on experience. A full relocation package is available.
