Job Title: Retail Sales Representative

As a Retail Sales Representative at The AZEK Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sale of our innovative building products with retail home centers. Your primary responsibilities will include developing relationships with retail staff, conducting product knowledge training, and providing sales assistance to the ProDesk. You will also be responsible for contractor engagement in our loyalty program and reporting to a Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with retail District Managers, Store Managers, and Pro Sales Reps to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and market share in the retail channel.
  • Provide product training and education to Distributor Outside Sales representatives, TimberTech representatives, and retail associates to increase sales and product knowledge.
  • Continuously develop and expand the offering of special orders at the retail level.
  • Act as a liaison for sales and service issues within assigned territory.
  • Perform onsite product demonstrations and visits with customers to verify satisfaction, solidify renewals, and drive up-sell opportunities.
  • Help maintain special-order deck displays in retail stores within assigned region.
  • Ensure TimberTech displays and materials are maintained and updated.
  • Investigate and evaluate warranty claims in the field and send data to the Warranty department as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Drive sales to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to three years of experience in an outside sales position, with direct experience with retail home centers preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Interest in up to 60% overnight travel.
Success Measures:
  • Identify and visit top 20 stores and top 20 growth potential stores within 90 days.
  • Complete product training on all three product lines within 90 days.
  • Complete ride-alongs with 3 Retail Reps and 1 local ASM within 90 days.
  • Sign up 4 contractors for The Board within 6 months.
  • Visit all Distributor branches and complete 3 Distributor Rep ride-alongs within 6 months.
  • Visit stores in all major markets in your territory within 6 months.
  • Exceed Sales Incentive Plan goal for Special Order and Stock sales within 1 year.
  • Meet all MBO requirements within 1 year.
  • Add one stocking store within 1 year.
  • Exceed growth targets for Exteriors and Railing sales within 1 year.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors, including office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $60,000 to $65,000, with generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
