The Systems Engineering Division at Minuteman Group LLC is dedicated to creating innovative prototypes for space, airborne, and terrestrial applications that address complex national security challenges. Our teams are engaged in the development of extensive prototype systems, which encompass space payloads and satellites for communication and sensing, as well as airborne and ground-based technologies. Notable projects involve satellite sensors, laser communication systems both space-based and terrestrial, airborne laser radar, imaging systems for manned and unmanned aircraft, and compact satellite designs.
The chosen candidate will collaborate within a team to execute systems engineering tasks for a significant program. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing, cascading, and monitoring requirements
- Designing system architectures
- Creating a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) framework for the systems and their interactions
- Planning and overseeing verification and validation processes
- Identifying potential risks and formulating risk mitigation strategies
Essential qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in systems engineering for space or airborne systems. A Master’s degree or PhD may substitute for years of experience.
- Capability to support a comprehensive range of systems engineering functions across various programs
- A systems-oriented approach to pinpoint necessary technology development initiatives
- Proven experience in leading interdisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver professional reports and presentations
- Proficiency in SysML Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools is essential.
- Experience in hardware and software integration is advantageous.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with MagicDraw.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
