Key Responsibilities
As a Tree Crew Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading tree care teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Directing crew members in the execution of assigned tasks and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Collaborating with consulting arborists to develop effective work plans.
- Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all crew members are equipped with personal protective gear.
- Managing resources efficiently to complete jobs on time.
- Overseeing the cleanup of job sites and securing all equipment.
- Maintaining communication with clients to ensure satisfaction with the work performed.
- Ordering necessary materials and supplies for operations.
- Adhering to safety and training policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Conducting maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Providing training to crew members on safety policies and proper techniques.
- Participating in safety briefings and demonstrating climbing and pruning techniques.
- Operating equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5-7 years of experience in residential tree care, with the ability to train and direct crew members.
- Knowledge of various tree and shrub species, including their characteristics.
- Understanding of tree biomechanics and advanced rigging techniques.
- Expertise in proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals.
- Familiarity with chain saw safety and operation.
- Proficiency in tree climbing techniques and bucket truck operation.
- Knowledge of ANSI A300 standards and safety regulations.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
- A valid Driver's License; a CDL license is preferred.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range of $32 to $40 per hour based on experience, along with health and dental insurance with company contributions, a 401k retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holidays, and opportunities for continuing education and training.
