Job Title: Ready Mix Driver Tampa

Preferred Materials, a leading supplier of ready mix concrete, concrete block, rebar, and building materials in Florida, is seeking experienced Ready Mix Drivers for our Tampa operations.

Job Summary:

The primary task of the Ready Mix Driver is to drive to and from plant and work sites, ensuring the safe transportation of concrete mixers. The driver must also hose down the rig to keep it clean, walk on uneven and slippery surfaces, and unload and attach extension chutes weighing thirty to fifty pounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge load in a variety of settings and conditions.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation, company policies, and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Perform other related duties, such as lifting and moving of transported materials.
  • May oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
Requirements:
  • Class A or B driver's license with current medical card (or ability to obtain one).
  • No DUI's within the last 2 years.
  • Minimal moving violations.
  • Able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain respectful relationships with other staff.
