**Job Title:** Policy Analyst Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Policy Analyst Specialist at Child Action, Inc. in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $70,000 - $85,000 per year.

About the Role:

  • The Policy Analyst Specialist will be responsible for conducting research on legislative issues, analyzing data, and preparing reports and briefs for policymakers and stakeholders.
  • This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in legislative analysis, policy research, or government affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on legislative issues, including bills, regulations, and policy proposals.
  • Analyze data, statistics, and relevant information to assess potential impacts and implications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and implications of proposed legislation and policies.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-researched reports, memos, briefs, and other documents summarizing key findings and recommendations for policymakers, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in legislative analysis, policy research, or government affairs, preferably in a legislative, regulatory, or advocacy setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislative language and policy documents.
