Job Summary

BUDDYS HOME FURNISHING is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our individual branch location. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and review financial statements and store reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels, ensuring merchandise is available to meet customer demand.
  • Employee Management: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service.
  • Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance evaluation.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, meeting company standards for quality and appearance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Equivalent to an Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, marketing, or management, with a minimum of two years' experience in retail or a related field.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, driving results and achieving business objectives.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, with a flexible and responsive approach to work.
