Job Title: Client Service Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Consultant to join our Property & Casualty team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Client Service Consultant, you will be responsible for handling a book of business for assigned clients, evaluating their needs and risks, and assisting them in creating an insurance program tailored to their specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client needs and risks to create an insurance program that meets their specific requirements
  • Understand client business operations and market their needs to insurance carriers to cover risks
  • Independently manage client accounts and provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare certificates, binders, auto ID cards, and accident kits
  • Attend insurance carrier meetings and order policy changes from carriers
  • Process endorsements, check coverages, and update client management systems
  • Review, analyze, and check experience mods
  • Maintain monthly reporting forms and take ownership of accounts
  • Meet with team for pre-renewal meetings and develop client opportunities
  • Consult with clients on coverage needs and participate in contract review
  • Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance company underwriters
Requirements:
  • Active state-specific Property Casualty Insurance agent's license required or ability to acquire within three months of hire
  • Minimum 3+ years of customer service, underwriting, or risk management experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of property casualty coverages and ability to apply knowledge in job duties
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to apply skills in verbal or written form
  • Advanced negotiation, presentation, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret policy contractual provisions and understand policy forms and endorsements
  • Experience with computer data entry and working familiarity with agency management system, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
