Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Soliant Education in Holyoke, MA. As an SLPA, you will work closely with our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in conducting therapy sessions, focusing on improving students' articulation, fluency, and overall language development.
- Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular feedback and updates to the supervising SLP and school personnel.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting and support students' communication needs.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay updated on best practices and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in Massachusetts.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field.
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and progress tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
