Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Field Technician Apprentice to join our team. As a Field Technician Apprentice, you will assist our experienced technicians in the field, learning the latest technologies and techniques in leak detection and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Job Preparation
    • Review job assignments and scope of work
    • Ensure assigned vehicle is clean and equipped with necessary tools and equipment
    • Present a professional appearance with company-approved attire and footwear
  • In-Field Activities
    • Display excellent communication skills with customers
    • Follow instructions from assigned technicians
    • Accept constructive feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn
    • Assist with navigation to next job and utilize travel time to review work and prepare for next task
  • Scope of Learning
    • Leak detection techniques, including underground piping systems, sewers, gas systems, and swimming pools
    • Plumbing-related repair work, including line location and advanced technologies

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ for company vehicle insurance purposes
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Ability to move/lift up to 100 pounds
  • Experience using power tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Ability to meet physical labor requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical and labor background
  • Familiarity with leak detection, plumbing, irrigation, and/or experience in plumbing slab/sewer work
