Senior Project Manager/Assistant Department Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager/Assistant Department Head to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Traffic Planning Discipline in our New Braunfels, TX office.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present traffic impact studies, including data collection and intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software.
- Attend and present at municipal planning, zoning, and other board meetings.
- Prepare concept drawings based on client objectives and due diligence conclusions.
- Review traffic studies and roadway, intersection, and traffic signal designs.
- Prepare calculations, plans, specifications, technical papers, and permit applications for private and public infrastructure projects.
- Prepare construction cost estimates based on approved plan drawings.
- Manage, direct, and supervise the work efforts of assigned staff and projects.
- Prepare effective work plans, schedules, and man-hour budgets.
- Perform client management duties and participate in business development efforts.
- Ability to manage clients and develop new business.
- Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering experience.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in TX is preferred or the ability to obtain license within 3 months.
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification or other related certifications are desirable.
- Proficient technical skills in design of highway, intersection, and signal improvement design plans.
- Knowledge of traffic analysis procedures including trip generation computation, Synchro software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Previous knowledge/experience with TXDOT and area counties/municipalities design regulations and permit requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
