Job Title: Marketing Cloud Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Cloud Administrator to join our team at Boston University Development & Alumni Relations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust alumni and donor marketing campaigns using Marketing Cloud.

About the Role

This role will serve as a primary administrator for Marketing Cloud, ensuring the effective development and implementation of marketing campaigns. You will work closely with the Salesforce implementation team to configure and manage the Marketing Cloud environment, including journeys, data extensions, users, user roles, connectors, and integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage the Marketing Cloud environment, including journeys, data extensions, users, user roles, connectors, and integrations.
  • Design and implement complex Marketing Cloud automation workflows to achieve engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce implementation team to ensure effective development of Marketing Cloud platform for DAR.
  • Help prepare dataset for email marketing and maintain synchronized data from Salesforce CRM to Marketing Cloud and from other technology platforms.
  • Keep up to date with Marketing Cloud releases and make recommendations to optimize marketing activities through new features.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for building sophisticated email campaigns and customer journeys.
  • Develop test and measurement strategy with marketing team to track success of marketing campaigns.
  • Support and maintain Preference Center and rules within Marketing Cloud to give DAR users better management with college communications messages and engagement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in marketing, computer science, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience. Marketing Cloud certifications strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice marketing design techniques, basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Technical expertise regarding audience segmentation, data models, and data mining.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze information, especially related to marketing metrics, with an ability to communicate to business leaders.
