About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Cloud Administrator to join our team at Boston University Development & Alumni Relations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust alumni and donor marketing campaigns using Marketing Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage the Marketing Cloud environment, including journeys, data extensions, users, user roles, connectors, and integrations.
  • Partner with the Salesforce implementation team to ensure effective development of the Marketing Cloud platform for DAR.
  • Develop and implement complex Marketing Cloud automation workflows to achieve engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement email marketing campaigns and customer journeys.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for building sophisticated email campaigns and customer journeys.
  • Develop a test and measurement strategy to track the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Support and maintain the Preference Center and rules within Marketing Cloud to ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other privacy regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice marketing design techniques and basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Technical expertise regarding audience segmentation, data models, and data mining.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze information, and communicate findings to business leaders.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including certifications, is preferred.
