Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at our Greenfield, Wisconsin location. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the center manager and management team in achieving center production and cost goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to quality, safety of products, donors, and employees, and proper performance of day-to-day activities.
  • Assist the center manager in identifying and implementing improvements and changes to center processes.
  • Participate in the correction and prevention of audit findings.
  • Prepare routine reports and keep management apprised of center operations and operational issues.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain qualifications and perform all required core duties for Medical History, Phlebotomy, Sample Processing, and Operational Management areas.
  • Train new and existing staff on donor center procedures.
  • Manage and develop talent within the center.
  • Participate in the selection of new staff and management within the center.
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff.
  • Participate in the interviewing of center staff and assist in the selection of center staff.
  • Foster teamwork and work collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals.
  • Communicate continuously and resolve conflicts proactively.
  • Provide timely feedback on performance and initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Participate in the evaluation and review of center staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop a team of diverse individuals.
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and apply technical documents and instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Aptitude for working with production, financial, marketing, and other statistical data is desirable.
  • Requires obtaining and maintaining Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.

Working Conditions

  • Requires ability to stand and walk for entire work shift.
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, leaning, reaching above shoulders and below knees, and lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Must have fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment sounds from a distance.
  • Requires ability to communicate verbally with donors, in person and on the phone.
  • Requires depth perception and vision at all distances.
  • Occasional travel (less than 10%).
