About the Role

Zoox is seeking a seasoned leader to manage its Cartography team, responsible for building, curating, and maintaining our high-definition road network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a growing team of Cartographers and oversee the growth/maintenance of our road network data product.
  • Manage day-to-day mapping operations, including expanding geofences, validating annotated data, and responding to "world change" events.
  • Participate in hiring, resource planning, and organizing training for new Cartographers.
  • Create quarterly and long-term plans, track progress, and assess standards for content deliverables.
  • Act as a close partner with engineering to improve tooling and pipelines.
  • Motivate and mentor direct reports.
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in people management.
  • Experience in map production or map content validation.
  • Understanding of GIS systems and data.
  • Experience with planning, scheduling, and executing cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Zoox offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.

The salary will range from $162,000 to $238,000, with a sign-on bonus possible as part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
