Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare apartments for new residents with minimal supervision, including tasks such as painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks using the TELS Program.
  • Perform daily inspections of the community, ensuring grounds and common areas are well-maintained and free of debris.
  • Carry out various maintenance tasks, including electrical work, pool upkeep, carpentry, HVAC repairs, plumbing, and appliance servicing.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all mechanical systems within the community, including water heaters and HVAC units.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing capital improvement projects, adhering to company maintenance policies.
  • Organize maintenance storage areas and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
  • Complete required training and education for maintenance personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC, or related fields is necessary.
  • Ability to coordinate emergency repairs and manage subcontractors as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience in the safe use of construction and maintenance tools is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • EPA certification in Freon recovery and handling is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
