Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our team at Alera Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a book of business across our Houston, Austin, and San Antonio markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned book of business, driving growth and revenue through proactive servicing and relationship-building.
  • Collaborate with producers to design, improve, and service employer-sponsored benefit programs for mid-market employers.
  • Work with vendors, carriers, providers, and other partners to resolve escalated claims and other benefit/HR-related issues.
  • Leverage company resources and external expertise to benchmark employers' benefit programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the RFP process, including proposal review and negotiation.
  • Communicate and implement clients' programs effectively.
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of benefit plans and programs, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and other health and welfare initiatives.
  • Oversee team utilization of agency management systems and assist with HRIS system connections/enhancements.
  • Hold benefits vendors accountable for service level agreements and guarantees.
  • Contribute to the improvement of benefits department policies, procedures, and programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to prepare and verify financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated process improvements resulting in increased profitability and service delivery.
  • Executive presence with polished written and oral communication skills and experience with C-suite level client interface.
  • Salary with additional variable compensation tied to performance.
