We are seeking a skilled Health Information Coordinator to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assembling and maintaining patients' health information in medical records and charts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble patients' health information in chart.
  • Ensure all forms are accurately completed, properly identified, and signed.
  • Ensure all necessary patient information is in the computer and up to date.
  • Scan pertinent information into patients' EMR.
  • Obtain and handle medical record document requests from outside parties, which may include subpoenas, FMLA forms, etc. for response and regulation compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year related experience in a healthcare environment required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of medical record technology or medical terminology course preferred.
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
  • Ability to perform redundant tasks with minimal error rate.
  • Ability to use good judgment in the course of contact with physicians, patients, staff, and outside sources.
