We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Banquet Chef to join our team at White Lodging. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary aspects of banquet and catering functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute day-to-day banquet culinary operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Develop and implement menu selections for special events and banquets, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, adhering to hotel recipes and standards.
- Implement and maintain high standards of safety and sanitation policies.
- Contribute to maximizing departmental profit through effective cost control and revenue growth strategies.
- Monitor and analyze quality levels of production, presentation, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and develop team members, providing coaching, counseling, and training to ensure exceptional performance.
- Participate in the development of business strategies for the kitchen, driving growth and innovation.
- Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and adjusting work areas/schedules as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations and interdepartmental working relationships.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
- College degree or equivalent degree from a recognized culinary institute preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience required.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift frequently loads up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Constant walking throughout shift.
- Must be able to talk, hear, and taste.
