We are seeking a skilled Patient Service Representative II to join our team at Akron Children\u2019s Hospital. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide exceptional support to our patients and families, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Provide administrative support to our patient care team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with healthcare providers.
2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
3. Manage third-party payors and collection of co-pays, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient payments.
4. Participate in cross-coverage efforts with other team members, ensuring seamless coverage and support during peak periods.
5. Perform other duties as required, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
**Requirements:**
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
2. 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient service or administrative role.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
