Patient Service Specialist

Job Summary:
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Patient Service Specialist to provide a comprehensive, proactive, and patient-centered experience for our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service skills and utilize evolving technology to manage patient requests, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and way-finding.
- Represent Cleveland Clinic in a professional, caring, and helpful manner, ensuring a stellar and efficient patient experience.
- Work collaboratively with dedicated caregivers to deliver what matters most to our patients and their families.
- Perform patient registration, visit preparation, telephone triage, insurance verification, co-pay collection, patient and record tracking, scheduling, arrival and/or departure desk activities, and screening and scheduling of interpreter services.
- Enter and maintain confidential patient information, recruit, enroll, and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing, or customer service.
- Ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM or demonstrable personal computer keyboard skills.
- Dexterity sufficient to operate a PC and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
