CPE Network Engineer Job Description

At ADEX, we are seeking a highly skilled CPE Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of customer premise equipment used to support FTI services.

Key Responsibilities:

a. Collaborate with internal and external teams to evaluate CPE designs in relation to critical infrastructure and service needs for the FTI network.
b. Plan and design CPE to support both legacy and modern telco services network solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
c. Implement solutions that meet customer requirements, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time.
d. Participate in after-action reviews to resolve technical challenges and improve future projects.
e. Create and maintain documentation for engineering and NOC teams, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing.
f. Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
g. Manage the CPE design release workflow to meet implementation schedules, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruptions.

Requirements:

a. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
b. Minimum 4 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience.
c. Strong project management skills, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and complete tasks per project schedule.
d. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
e. Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and technical procedures, with experience working with Microsoft Office software applications.
f. Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, CISCO routers, and network infrastructure.
g. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

a. Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Fujitsu, and RAD.
b. Knowledge of IP technologies such as Pseudo Wire and Ethernet switching.
c. Familiarity with drawing tools such as AutoCAD.
