Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at ADAMS GROUP INC MASTER. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in food safety and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality programs to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Lead customer, regulatory, and supplier audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in developing and delivering educational materials for team member training on quality programs and corrective actions.
  • Participate in annual SQF Program validations and internal quality management systems audits.
  • Oversee quality programs, including annual monitoring of product quality, testing proficiency, risk assessments, and production document review.
  • Support the Grain Incidents & Loss program by tracking, managing, and documenting investigations for customer complaints and identified issues.
  • Provide quality-focused guidance when collaborating with other departments on various projects.
  • Manage customer-facing quality documentation, including product data sheets and COAs.
  • Responsible for specification management across different commodities and products.
  • Creates and updates inventory items in ERP.
  • Supports R&D efforts by developing and managing testing regimes for new or changed product quality.
  • Presents technical knowledge regarding quality items to customers to support operations and sales teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • ~5+ years of experience working in the food industry in quality and food safety program documentation & execution.
  • Understanding of food regulations and Global Food Safety requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and report writing.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, analyze data, and make determinations.
  • Ability to provide presentations and training.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Language Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in reading, speaking, and writing in English for the purpose of record keeping, safety, and quality training processes.
