About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at VS Servicer at Ulster LLC. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and implementing nursing department policies and procedures.
  • Monitor nursing staff and patient care to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining written policies and procedures that govern nursing department operations.
  • Act as a team leader and supervisor to ensure work is accomplished and quality care is delivered.
  • Support team members and leaders in a way that celebrates and encourages hard work and success.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
  • Help determine staffing needs and provide direct nursing care as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration required.
  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required.
  • Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate age-specific knowledge of developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion.
