We are seeking a highly skilled Shipyard Pipefitter Senior Technician to join our team at NSC Technologies in Norfolk, Virginia. As a seasoned pipefitter with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience, you will be responsible for performing complex pipe systems layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lays out, fabricates, installs, tests, and repairs complex pipe systems
  • Fits pipes, prepares joints for welding, and meets system requirements
  • Works from blueprints, makes fabrication sketches, and sets up burning torches
  • Runs pipe bending machines, evaluates joint allowances, and builds piping systems within required tolerances
  • Constructs dimensionally correct mock-ups, reads blueprints, and tracks jobs from material lists to completion
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a shipboard pipefitter
  • Technical training preferred
  • Knowledge of hand tools and instruments associated with the Pipefitting trade
  • Leader's knowledge in troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
