The Role:

Beverage Servers are tasked with ensuring positive guest experiences while skillfully mixing and serving drinks to patrons and staff in a friendly and efficient manner. This role is classified as part-time and requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with guests and accurately take beverage orders from servers or directly from patrons.
- Prepare and serve drinks, cocktails, and other beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing bar area to facilitate efficient drink preparation and promote beverage offerings.
- Provide insights on wine selections, assess guest preferences, and serve wine using proper techniques.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes for beverages.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchase.
- Manage an assigned cash bank and adhere to all cash handling protocols.
- Collect payments for beverages served and reconcile all receipts.
- Ensure the bar area is well-stocked with necessary tools and supplies, preparing inventory requests as needed.
- Serve food items to guests seated at the bar.
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menus and promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area by performing tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning glass surfaces as required.
- Organize storage areas effectively.
- Attend mandatory training sessions.
- Execute general cleaning duties to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a bartender.
- In-depth knowledge of drink recipes and the ability to craft unique beverages.
- Proficiency in timely drink preparation and service.
- Extensive understanding of wines.
- Commitment to personal hygiene and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively during service setup and execution.
- Strong desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Effective listening skills and ability to follow directions from supervisors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations.
- Friendly, personable demeanor.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English to communicate effectively with guests.
- Ability to remember and promote various menu items.
- Capability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs regularly.
