Job Description

Reports To: Outlet Manager, Assistant Outlet Manager, or Food & Beverage Director

Supervises: N/A

Shift Times: Flexible hours to accommodate breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts (shift differential increase of pay during lunch hours)

Job Purpose: We are in search of a proficient Food and Beverage Server to enhance our service at DIMENSION HOSPITALITY. In this role, you will be tasked with fulfilling guests' requests by accurately recording and delivering their orders while adhering to established etiquette standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcomes guests by serving ice water and/or coffee upon their arrival.
  2. Introduces the menu to diners, recommending meal options, suitable wines, and addressing inquiries regarding food preparation.
  3. Records orders on a check or commits them to memory.
  4. Communicates orders to the kitchen or bar and serves dishes from the kitchen and service bars.
  5. Enhances the presentation of dishes prior to serving.
  6. Occasionally serves patrons directly from the dish at the table.
  7. Monitors diners to fulfill additional requests and to recognize when meals are completed.
  8. Calculates the bill and processes payments or directs patrons to the cashier.
  9. Restocks supplies and prepares for subsequent meal services.
  10. Takes the initiative to greet guests warmly and with friendliness.

Required Skills:

  1. Utilize arithmetic skills to total costs and provide change.
  2. Engage with diverse individuals to ascertain their service needs and provide information.
  3. Endure standing or walking for extended periods.
  4. Demonstrate dexterity in handling items such as dishes, money, and merchandise.
  5. Lift and transport items like heavy trays.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 3 months of experience in fast-paced/high-volume dining establishments.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must possess TIPS and Food Safety certifications.
