Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 4:00pm-2:00am

Compensation: $25-$35 per hour DOE

About the Role

Silver Creek Materials is on the lookout for a dedicated Field Service Mechanic for Heavy Equipment for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude and the ability to effectively maintain, repair, and oversee the upkeep of company machinery and vehicles. A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision is essential, as well as someone who can perform hands-on repairs and maintenance as required. The role demands quick thinking and decisive action in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emphasis on preventative maintenance for screening plants and stackers.
  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance shop, including equipment and vehicle repairs, mobile field service, inspections, preventative maintenance, and warranty services.
  • Utilize the electronic work order system to monitor and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Ensure efficient processing of jobs and manage the repair lifecycle to achieve satisfactory completion levels.
  • Diagnose current or potential maintenance issues.
  • Maintain and review service records for repairs and inspections.
  • Comply with safety standards and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Keep the maintenance shop organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Collaborate with team members from other departments as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with various team members through multiple channels (radios, email, phone, instant messaging).
  • Perform all job duties as outlined and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience in evaluating and repairing heavy equipment maintenance, including hydraulics, electrical schematics, and diesel repairs.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with vendors.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment field service mechanic.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Google applications.
  • Ability to meet scheduling requirements and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with a robust work ethic to achieve both company and personal objectives.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed.
  • Ability to navigate uneven surfaces.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Must pass a background check and comply with the Drug-free Workplace Policy.
  • Capability to perform limited physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
The pay range for this role is:
