Job Summary

Southland Holdings LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in the DFW area. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various pieces of heavy equipment used in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including cranes, crawlers, compressors, welders, and diesel trucks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure seamless equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve technical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum of technical training on diesel and/or heavy equipment experience.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment and pass a post-offer drug test.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • CDL License a plus.
